Currently writing a book, she blogs and teaches PR and advertising writing at DePaul University College of Communication.

Her efforts as communications manager for a large nursing association raised national vertical and horizontal market publicity 10-fold in one year and 250 percent the following while cutting related costs by more than 60 percent. A former solo consultant, she continues to write for numerous high-profile healthcare trade magazines on clinical, policy and management.
John has in-depth experience over more than 20 years in strategic communications, public and media relations, marketing communications and stakeholder relations. A former managing broadcast journalist, he has led media training for organizations ranging from the American Red Cross and the Wilderness Society to energy companies and federal agencies (including the White House, EPA, Navy.) John is a former national spokesman for a major industry. He’s expert in engaging major media, building strategic relationships, and forging strategic communication plans. He’s a passionate speaker and writer, and has taught corporate communications, media relations and presentation skills at Penn State as well as in the workplace.
