Quicksilver Edge is proud to have earned the prestigious International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Pacific Plains Region Silver Quill Award for its Windforge Kickstarter Campaign: Saving a Game Developer’s Dream Against All Odds campaign. The award honors our the work of Chris Orris to help Snowed In Studios reach their crowdfunding goal of 50,000 CAD in 30 days. The Silver Quill awards honor communications that achieve greatness by:
- setting and meeting objectives that deliver valuable, measurable results to an organization;
- use strategic thinking, creativity or resourcefulness to get the job done; and
- measure the outcomes to demonstrate success
The 13 award recipients were judged to represent the best work in the IABC Pacific Plains Region, which includes 18 IABC chapters and 2,500 members in states from Illinois to Hawaii, including members-at-large who live outside local chapter boundaries. Quicksilver Edge’s award came in the category of marketing communications.
This peer-evaluated program follows the same process, divisions and categories as the international IABC Gold Quill Awards program.
The Kickstarter campaign assisted Snowed In Studios’ first independent video game, Windforge. Quicksilver Edge joined the campaign after it had stalled at 30% of its goal with half of the allotted time lapsed. Quicksilver Edge coordinated with Snowed In Studios to provide marketing consultation, media relations work and video production. The campaign was a success with 62 seconds left, earning pledges from nearly 800 different supporters.
